About the Larchmere Village

The Larchmere Village is a new initiative to help older adults in the 44120-zip code age in place with dignity, connection, and support. Powered by local organizations and neighbors working together, the Village offers a welcoming network of practical services and social programs—all designed to help older adults remain independent and engaged in the community they call home.

Our Village fosters mutual support among neighbors, a recognition of our shared interdependence, and an understanding that everyone has valuable gifts to offer. These values shape the experience of aging in our community. All members are encouraged to volunteer their time and skills to support fellow village members, based on their abilities.

Larchmere Village was established by a group of dedicated local community organizations and residents. With the assistance of its volunteers and preferred service providers, Larchmere Village members can arrange for non-professional support such as light home repair, check-ins, light housekeeping and more.

Larchmere Village welcomes volunteers who are seeking to get involved in their community, many of whom are also members. Volunteers help with tasks like transportation, light home repairs and housekeeping, voting assistance, check-ins and more. The volunteer program is central to our mission, allowing members to support one another as friendly neighbors.
